The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions.
All orders made are subject to the acceptance of these Terms & Conditions & are deemed to be accepted by you when placing your order.
Your statutory rights are not affected. These terms & conditions are subject to change without notice & supersede all previous editions.
1. PAYMENT FOR GOODS
1.1. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these Conditions. You are deemed to have accepted these Conditions when you place an order for goods with us. Our contract with you only begins when we confirm acceptance of your offer to purchase goods from us. An order will not take place (and we will not be deemed to have accepted your order) until we have validated and received your payment. Any communication, which you receive from us prior to validation, is not to be deemed as an acceptance of your order. In the event of any pricing error occurring within our website, within a written or verbal quotation, or contained within any e-mail correspondence however received, all incomplete orders shall be deemed void.
1.2. Many of the goods we sell are of a technical nature and whilst we endeavour to publish as much information as is practical about the goods, the descriptions of the goods are as set out on the website. All drawings, photographs, descriptive matter, colour, specifications & advertising on our website is for the sole purpose of giving an approximate idea of the goods. They will not form part of the contract between us.
1.3. Your order for goods is subject to stock availability. All goods available to buy are in stock at that time, unless an item has been ordered by phone & the website has not yet been updated or if an item has unlawfully been removed from our storage. If we do not supply goods to you for any reason we will inform you of the situation & will not charge you for the goods & will refund any money already paid by you for these goods. We are not liable for any financial loss incurred by you relating to interest payments or loss of earnings or similar gains you would have received on monies paid to us in lieu of any unfulfilled order.
1.4. Payment for goods must be made in accordance with our purchase procedure as set out on our website. All orders are positively credit card sanctioned prior to dispatch. We can accept no responsibility if any details you provide us with that are incorrect or if any order is held up as a result of incorrect or unsubstantiated details.
2. GUARANTEE
2.1. Electrical goods are sold with the benefit of a minimum 12 months guarantee. Used or Second Hand Goods have no fixed guarantee period (unless stated) & should be returned to us within 14 days from the receipt of your order if faulty.
2.2. If these goods are deemed tampered with in any way your warranty will become void & you will become responsible for the costs of replacement & return shipping. If no manufacturing fault is found you will be responsible for the costs of replacement & return shipping. Wherever possible we will respond to your individual circumstances. Will not be liable for any transit damage that may occur on any product you have returned to us for replacement. We strongly suggest that you make sure you have used sufficient packaging to protect your product & insure against damage before returning any product for replacement.
2.3. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, modifications to, failure(s) not due to manufacturing defect(s), when any warranty void sticker has been tampered with, failure to comply with the original manufacturers conditions of intended use, any accessories supplied. Whatagreatbuy.com can not be held responsible for any costs arising from unauthorised repairs to equipment during the warranty period. Only the equipment manufacturer or their authorised service agents can carry out any warranty work. Any unauthorised repairs or repair attempts will void the warranty.
2.4. In relation to new goods the company will accept liability for defective goods only to the extent that the company is entitled to make a claim under the manufacturer's or publishers warranty & obtain from the manufacturer or publisher a refund, credit, repair or replacement of the defective goods.
3. DELIVERY OF GOODS
3.1. Delivery of the goods can be made to UK addresses, European and selected Worldwide countries. Electrical items can not be shipped abroad. The address will be that registered with your payment card issuer.
3.2. We will endeavour to deliver your goods if in stock within 2 - 5 working days (with the exception of weekends & public holidays) but time shall not be of the essence. If we are unable to deliver the goods for any reason you will be notified & will not be obliged to pay for the goods. However, we shall not be liable for any loss, which may be suffered by you caused by any delay of delivery unless caused by our negligence. If delivery of the goods is delayed by more than 30 days, you shall be entitled to contact us & cancel the order. Any monies paid in respect of the goods, which are not delivered, will be refunded.
3.3. Goods, other than faulty goods may not be returned after 7 days unless we agree that there is good reason for us to receive such goods back. We regret that we cannot accept returns of the following: Jewellery, dental products, creams, lotions & sprays for reasons of health & hygiene.
3.4. If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must inform us as soon as possible. You must return the products to us and we will either replace the goods at no extra charge, or refund any monies paid by you for the goods.
3.5. UK Customers who select Surface Mail on the delivery options by mistake will be charged the cheapest method possible. Surface Mail is for customers outside of the UK. Due to the complex nature of postal prices to send goods abroad prices are published in the Delivery/Returns page and are charged after ordering.
4. CREDIT & EXCHANGES
4.1. We will provide a full refund (excluding delivery charges) if the product you have selected is found to be unsuitable within 7 working days following delivery, providing the product is returned in it's original box, in 'as new' condition, unmarked & all packaging materials intact.
4.2. All returns carriage costs will be borne by you the sender.
5. Order Cancellations:
Should you wish to cancel your order before receiving the goods, you may provided the item in question has not already been shipped. You must inform us immediately by Email or by phone (recorded messages are not acceptable, e.g. voicemail) we will send you a reply as to wether your cancellation as been accepted.
6. Discount codes:
A discount code may be issued with your order from time to time, we guarantee you will have a minimum of 30 days from the time you place your order in which to use this discount code. The discount code will state the expiry date, you can quote the discount code when calling to place an order Tel: 0844 410 9900 and any credit or debit card is accepted (except American Express)
